Badan Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia telah ditubuhkan pada tahun 1997 lalu dengan nama Persekutuan Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia (MSFD). Kemudian Badan Sukan ini telah ditukarkan nama kepada Persatuan Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia (MSDeaf) pada tahun 2010 ketika didaftarkan dibawah Pesuruhjaya Sukan Malaysia (PJS).
Sukan Warga Pekak telah diiktirafkan dan diterima oleh Kerajaan Malaysia setelah Akta Pembangunan Sukan (Pindaan Akta A1570) 2018 diluluskan pada 3 April 2018 melalui Menteri Belia dan Sukan Malaysia, YB. Brig. Khairy Jamaluddin di Parlimen Malaysia. Akta itu menyebut bahawa MSDeaf adalah sebuah Persekutuan Sukan Pekak Negara yang bertanggungjawab menghantar atlet-atlet Pekak Negara bertanding ke Sukan Orang Pekak Peringkat Antarabangsa seperti Deaflympics Games, Asia Pacifics Deaf Games dan ASEAN Deaf Games.
MSDeaf mempunyai 14 Ahli Gabungan Negeri. MSDeaf juga adalah Ahli Gabungan ICSD (International Committee Sports for the Deaf), APDSC (Asia Pacifics Deaf Sports Confederation) dan ADSF (ASEAN Deaf Sports Federation).
Program Sukan Utama yang dianjurkan oleh MSDeaf ialah SOPMA (Sukan Orang Pekak Malaysia) yang dianjurkan secara dwitahun. Sukan Teras ketika ini ialah Badminton, Bola Sepak, Olahraga dan Tenpin Boling, selain Sukan Pilihan seperti Futsal dan Karate. MSDeaf turut juga menganjurkan program program bercorak pendidikan sukan seperti Klinik, Seminar dan Bengkel bagi memperkasakan ilmu sukan dikalangan warga Pekak.
The Malaysian Deaf Sports organisation was established in 1997 under the name of the Malaysia Sports Federation Of The Deaf (MSFD). Later, this sports organisation was renamed the Malaysia Sports Deaf Association (MSDeaf) in 2010 when it was registered under the Malaysian Sports Commissioner (PJS).
Sports of the Deaf has been recognized and accepted by the Malaysian Government after the Sports Development (Amendment Act A1570) Act 2018 was passed on April 3, 2018 by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, YB. Brig. Jen. Khairy Jamaluddin in Parliament. The Act states that MSDeaf is a Federation Of Deaf Sports in Malaysia responsible for developing the sports of Deaf in Malaysia. MSDeaf is also responsible for sending Malaysian Deaf athletes to compete in International Deaf Games such as the Deaflympic Games, Asia Pacific Deaf Games and Asean Deaf Games.
MSDeaf has 14 State Affiliates. MSDeaf is also a member of the ICSD (International Committee Sports for the Deaf, APDSC (Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation) and ADSF (Asean Deaf Sports Federation).
The main sports program organized by MSDeaf is SOPMA (Malaysia's Deaf Sports) which is bilingual organized. MSDeaf's core sports are Badminton, Football, Athletics, Bowling, as well as optional sports such as Futsal and Karate. MSDeaf also organizes sports education-based programs such as Clinics, Seminars and Workshops to empower sports science among Deaf people.
